Our Accessibility Standards

Little Way Children's Foundation ("LWCF") aims to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines outline four main principles for accessible content: it must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.

Technical Accessibility Measures

 

To support accessibility, LWCF has implemented the following measures on our website:

 

-Semantic HTML and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles and attributes to support assistive technologies.

-Alt text for all meaningful images.

-Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements.

-Color contrast and scalable fonts to support low-vision users.

-Skip to content and heading structures for screen reader efficiency.

-Use of WAI-ARIA landmarks to guide assistive tech navigation.

Accessibility Testing

 

We conduct regular accessibility audits using tools and techniques such as:

 

-WAVE Accessibility Tool

-axe DevTools

-NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) and VoiceOver screen readers

-Keyboard-only navigation testing

-Manual reviews based on WCAG 2.1 checklists

-Third-Party Content


While we strive to ensure accessibility across all areas of our site, some third-party content or plugins (e.g., donation processors, embedded media) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We

encourage those providers to meet WCAG guidelines and are actively working with vendors to improve
